Today’s recipe is about home style spicy Prawn masala, it is one of my favourite & signature dish in my home. It’s really easy to make under 30 minutes. In my recipe, I love to add more garlic cloves, becoz It gives more flavour to the dish and also garlic has more health benefits. Combination of garlic & Prawns would gives an exquisite taste. And this can be best accompanied with Rasam & Curd rice. According to your palate, the spices can be added. I didn’t add any water to my recipe, becoz prawns ooze out more liquids. After adding prawns, just close with lid & cook under low flame. And also prawns cook fast, so we have to watch out carefully, otherwise it get overcooked & gives rubbery texture.

Spicy Prawn masala
Prawn – 500gms (washed & cleaned)
Onion – 2 nos. Finely chopped
Tomatoes – 2 nos. Finely chopped
Garlic cloves – 10 nos.
Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 2 tsps
Turmeric powder – 1 /2 tsp
Curry leaves & Cilantro hanful
Salt as required
Oil – 1 tbsp
Jeera – 1tsp fennel seeds – 1tsp
Heat oil in a pan, temper with Jeera & fennel seeds.
Add garlic cloves, curry leaves, chopped onions & cook until soft.
Add ginger garlic paste & cook until the raw flavour goes off.
Now add chopped tomatoes, salt as required & cook until mushy.
Add all spices & cook until raw flavour goes off.
Add prawns, mix it, cover with lid and cook it for 10 to 15 minutes or until we’ll cooked.
Garnish with Cilantro & curry leaves.
Serve hot & enjoy it.
