Today’s recipe is all about curry leaves & chicken, the combination of both ingredients gives an extraordinary dish. In this recipe, we are going to dry roast curry leaves & some spices, make into powder and add to the chicken, this gives more flavour&taste to the dish. Curry leaves is one of the nutritious green in our Indian culture, it has more health benefits like helps in hair growth, shiny skin, good for improving heamoglobin level, etc… Most of us & our kids avoid eating curry leaves, so this is the best method to make them to eat. Onion – 2 finely chopped
Tomato-1 finely chopped
Ginger garlic green chilli paste – 2tsp
Salt as required
Water as required
Oil – 2 tbsp
Jeera – 1tsp
Dry chillies – 2
Dry roast & Grind ;
Curry leaves – 1cup
Jeera – 1 tsp
Pepper corns – 1 1/2 tsp
Fennel seeds – 1 tsp
Fenugreek – 1/2 tsp
Dry chillies – 3 nos. (add as per ur taste)
Cinammon – 2 small stick
Coconut shredded – 1/4 cup
Marinate chicken ;
Chicken – 250gms
Rock Salt – 1 tsp
Half lemon juice
*marinate for 1 hr
Dry roast all ingredients given above & grounded into corase powder.
Keep kadai on medium high flame, add jeera, bay leaves & splutter it.
Add onions, saute until change into brown in color.
Add ginger garlic green chilli paste, saute for 2mins or until raw flavour goes off.
Now add marinated chicken, make it brown on both sides of it.
Add grounded curry leaves powder & mix it well.
Add 2 cups of water, cover & cook the chicken for 10 mins or half cooked.
Now add finely chopped tomatoes, mix it, cover & cook it for another 15 mins on medium flame.
Serve & enjoy with idlies, dosa, rice etc..
