Plantain fry is a famous south Indian side dish, extremely goes well with rasam rice, greens rice or any variety rice. It is simple & easy recipe, can be prepared within a 5 minutes. Marination is optional, while marinating the plantain, add lemon juice not more than 2 drops, because it dominate the other spices & give sour taste. Jeera powder is main ingredient in this dish, it gives more flavor, taste & easy to digest.
Ingredients:
Plantain/ vazhakai – 1 no. (finely sliced into round shape)
Red chili powder – 1 tsp
Jeera powder – 1 – 2tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Lemon juice – 2 drops
Salt to taste
Oil for pan fry
Method:

Mix all the spices, lemon drops & salt into the small bowl.

Add finely sliced plantain to the mixture & marinate for 20 – 30 minutes in refrigerator (take out from the fridge before frying).

Add oil to the pan, fry the marinated plantain by flipping both sides for 2 – 3 minutes.

Repeat the procedure till the plantain cooked well.

Toast the fried plantain with jeera powder & garnish with fried curry leaves on top.

Serve it hot & enjoy !!
